Some people even left their jobs to become full-time adventurers on two wheels and mastered the great art of storytelling, through engaging articles, stunning photography, and amazing videos.
A dream job for many of us…
The RnT Story Contest is a yearly initiative for people who love to share their motorcycle travels experiences and are keen to learn from others’ stories… with a little added spiciness.
By submitting your stories and entering the Contest, you stand a chance of winning great rewards and one in particular: an all-inclusive motorcycle tour for 2 in a selected destination.
This year, the destination of choice is a tear-drop-shaped island situated in the Indian Ocean: Sri Lanka.
Motorcycle tourism hasn’t spread widely on this marvelous island, yet in the past few years, the country has been globally appraised as a top travel destination by many.
The next couple of years might be the last chance to see Sri Lanka before mass tourism takes over.
The Grand Prize: Hidden Sri Lanka – Ride in Luxury
13 days, 12 nights, riding the legendary Royal Enfield 350cc Classic, and taking in some of the best that the island can offer. Enjoy a selection of handpicked and unique accommodation for every night and the local population’s warm welcome.
The journey begins in the southern city of Galle from where you will climb to an altitude of 2000mt in the mountains. Riding through tea plantations and the Udawalawe national park, towards the Cultural Triangle, home of ancient cities, temples, and heritage sites, located in the center of the island.
After a rest day in Kandy – the last capital of the ancient Kings’ era – there is a challenging riding day in the Knuckles mountain range which will test your skills, before hitting the east coast and enjoying the last few days in a more relaxed riding style, before returning to Galle.
You could either ride with a friend on two bikes or with your partner as a rider & pillion. Everything needed for a memorable and hassle-free motorcycle tour is included.
From the moment you arrive at the airport until the end of the tour. You only need to worry about riding and enjoying the trip.
The Grand Prize is redeemable until 2025 giving you plenty of time to plan ahead and the winners may choose their preferred dates from the scheduled tours, which are generally happening in February and July, every year.

How to enter the Contest
To participate, all you have to do is to send us one or more of your own favorite motorcycle travel stories in one of the 4 eligible formats.
Article
Write about one of your favorite motorcycle adventures and add a couple of images or video clips to make your story more engaging (min. 500 words).
You can write about the itinerary, the bikes, funny moments, terrible experiences, scary situations. Anything that makes your story interesting and engaging.

Video-story
Put together your video shots with commentary or background music and a short description (Video length min 4 minutes – Description max. 300 words).
Yes, we are not all video editors but we can learn a few tricks from others… and you don’t even have to spend a lot for it. Here’s a great example from “The Ride with Roland”.
If you prefer not to add your voice commentary, then you could simply add a soundtrack – just make sure it’s not protected by copyrights. Watch this example:
Single Photograph
A single photograph can tell a whole story. Select your favorite, add a description and submit it. (max. 300 words).
Ideally, the description should offer a bit of context about the photo although simple thoughts or inspiring quotes are welcome too.

Media Gallery
Multiple photographs and/or short videos. Pick your best, add a short description to each and you are ready (min. 7 photos/videos – max 300 words for each description).
The Media Gallery is meant to turn on the imagination of viewers through the selection of your favorite shots or short videoclips. A complete visual story.

Important note: Articles and Videostories are eligible only if 100% original and not published online, while for Single Photographs and Media Galleries, you may submit content that you have already shared on your blog, website, or social media.
You may submit as many stories as you wish. Each will count as one (1) entry.
Winner Selection
Once you have submitted your entry and after a short approval process, your Story will be published here, on REVnTRAVEL website and our Social Media.
At the end of July – date to be announced soon – the Top 10 Stories based on website traffic and social media engagement will be selected for the Finals.
A Jury composed of RnT representatives and Sponsors will assign a personal vote (1-10) to each Story for 3 different criteria: Destination, Content & Uniqueness.
The Story with the total highest score will win the Grand Prize.
So here we are. You have the opportunity to win and leave for a two-wheel adventure in Sri Lanka and all you have got to do is to share your favorite motorcycle travel story.
