The 1st Women’s Motorcycle Tour of Sri Lanka in History?

Is this the first ever women’s motorcycle tour in Sri Lanka? We don’t really know.

What we do know without a doubt, is that a group of twelve adventurous women are set to embark on a journey of a lifetime later on this year, as they ride through the hidden gems of Sri Lanka on Royal Enfield 350cc Classic motorcycles.

Hidden Sri Lanka, is a 13-day motorcycle tour of Sri Lanka. The riders will experience the breathtaking beauty of the island’s lush interior, weaving through picturesque mountains and tea plantations.

They will visit UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Horton Plains, Dambulla, and The Knuckles mountains, marvelling at ancient ruins and unique flora and fauna.

Wildlife enthusiasts will be thrilled to witness Sri Lanka’s famous wild elephants up close and personal in their natural habitat.

Pristine white sand beaches of the less explored east coast, finishing on the palm-fringed beaches and turquoise waters of the south coast.

Organised by Extreme Bike Tours and Captained by Rosaria Fiorentino, WIMA Italy President and Host of the DGR Rome. The tour will be followed and documented by REVnTRAVEL as Media Partner.

A few years back, after getting inspiration from "The Motorcycle Diaries", I have started to dream to travel by motorcycle from South India to Nepal, and then from Alaska to Patagonia. Destiny wanted me to cross paths with a small motorcycle tour operator and my passion kept growing to the point that I have decided to build RnT.

  1. I guess it depends on what you mean by first women’s only tour. I know of four women who did a motorcycle trip in Sri Lanka about nine years ago.
